DeafAI

Deaf AI assists service providers, organizations, and businesses to be more accessible to Deaf people by enabling sign language on-demand. Part of the MaRS and Toyota Mobility Foundation’s inaugural Mobility Unlimited Hub cohort, Deaf AI’s vision is to develop digital humans as sign language interpreters for real-time interpreting of voice-to-sign languages.
AR/VR/Interactive Media, Artificial Intelligence (AI)

JALI

JALI’s automated lip sync and facial animation software empowers digital storytellers to easily craft naturally, richly expressive characters and avatars. JALI’s team members are both artists and scientists, with a combined 94 years of graphics research and animation experience. JALI's process is grounded in a deep understanding of anatomy, perception, linguistics, performance theory, graphics, and craft.

Lumeto

Lumeto is led by a team of creative leaders, XR developers and software engineers who are creating VR and AI-driven simulation and training environments for healthcare professionals. A spin-off of Dark Slope – a leader in creating break-through entertainment for television and immersive experiences – Lumeto is leveraging its technology and platform to enhance learning outcomes tied to individual and team decision-making, problem-solving, de-escalation and complex procedures in a variety of healthcare and safety settings.
